Originally, I’d been thinking about structuring a book via “hairpisodes.” At the time, my dad was sorting through old papers and mailing me childhood pictures of myself. I noticed in each picture my hair was different–dramatically so. It occurred to me that cathartic or transitional moments in my life seemed to be paralleled by changes in my hair style. In a quixotic moment, I started this blog: Hairpisodes. I log in monthly to post hair musings, hair beliefs, hair stories, hair-raisin’ tales. Check it out!
